The Sky Blue Ribbon
Hélène Kérillis
from Auguste Renoir
Art-Fiction
When a poet fancies a love story, the Sunday ball makes him dream away
At the dancing hall le Moulin de la Galette in Montmartre, George the poet finds a sky blue ribbon on the ground. He immediately imagines that it belongs to a beautiful unknown lady and his friends tease him about it. Anyway, a tearful little girl disrupts their congenial afternoon.
Inspired by the well known masterpiece Dance at le Moulin de la galette by Auguste Renoir, this story celebrates this amazingly vivid art movement, called Impressionism: a bright atmosphere and expressive feelings are much better than stiff and conventional ways of painting the world around us.
Every detail of the canvas plays a role in the story with a modern graphic layout by the TroisFoisPlus designer studio.
