Magnificent books, poetic, rich, beautiful and intelligent. You must discover them all!
Tim and No-Name
based on Paul Klee / text: Nancy Guilbert / illustrations: Grégoire Vallancien
In this beautiful book is Leon, the mascot of the publisher. He make us enter in Paul Klee’s work, a geometric and colorful one. Tim’s story is illustrated by extracts of ten paintings by the artist. It is a great story about prejudice to discover or rediscover the famous painter. Details of paintings by Klee, pretty drawings and poetic text.
The Teeny-Weenies and the Fairy-cab-car
based on Wassily Kandinsky / text: Helene Kérillis / illustrations: Guillaume Trannoy
The story depicts a world in which the law of the jungle, far from being the best, is overcome by tilltel petty creatures who think, invent, organize, unite and take account of the other. A world in which the colors and music make us discover the universe of Kandinsky. The colors are sublime, and, as in every book of the series, the details of the master's paintings mix with pretty drawings and a rich, poetic narrative.

The new series of books by Léon art & stories introduces children age 4 and up to art and English! So they invented to gather 13 works under a common theme. They show an interaction with a small chameleon who comments the artworks with humor, in French and in English.
Two little books really well thought out for kids!
